>Those familiar with Moodle and managing users within Moodle will be aware that for some time now that the users are quite difficult to manage, especially if you’ve got several thousand of them. The task is already somewhat difficult, however to add to the frustration when you’re looking directly for users or adding users to groups, Moodle has a 100 user limit on each search.

It used to be the case that you had to hard these values into the script, however now in Moodle 2.5 there appears to be a value under settings > users > permissions > user policies which is called ‘maximum users per page’. Set this to a sensible figure (I’ve got mine set to 250), and the default value is 100.

There you go anyway, no longer do you need to hard code these values into your site!
